This May is a busy time in downtown Knoxville. There are tons of events going on and some awesome music experiences. When your attending these events make sure you stop by the store. We have you covered for all your Knoxville and Tennessee apparel needs! 

1. Elle King at The Mill & Mine

When: Thursday, May 2 at 9PM 

Where: The Mill & Mine

Price: $25 in advance, $30 day of the show 

Elle King brings her Shake the Spirit tour with Barns Courtney to Knoxville May 2. The “Ex’s & Oh’s” singer released her second studio album in October 2018 and currently touring with her band The Brethren. King’s style encompasses country, soul, rock and blues. She is a music lover’s dream. 


2. Market Square Farmers’ Market

When: Wednesdays from 11 AM- 2 PM & Saturdays from 9 AM- 2PM 

Where: Market Square

Price: Free

The Market Square Farmers’ Market is located in the heart of downtown. This open air market is great for all ages. The market includes produce, eggs, honey, herbs, pasture-raised meat, baked goods, artisan crafts and more. The best part is you are helping support local farmers and artisans because everything sold is from the East Tennessee region.


 

3. Knoxville Symphony Orchestra Presents An American in Paris

When: Thursday May 16 at 7:30PM & Friday May 17 at 7:30 PM 

Where: The Tennessee Theatre

Price: $15.00- $88.00

KSO will be performing their final Masterwork of the season this May. A performance of Joaqun Rodrigo's “Concierto de aranjuez” features Grammy award-winning guitarist Jason Vieaux. The performance also features Michael Schachter’s “Five-Six-Seven-Eight” and George Gershwin’s “An American in Paris.” Students grades K-12 can attend this concert for free with the purchase of one adult ticket. This is a great event for the entire family!


4. Concerts on the Square 

When: Every Thursday from May 2- June 27 from 8PM to 10PM 

Where: Market Square

Price: Free

The Variety Thursday concert series is back this year with a great lineup. Performed on the Square stage you’ll hear from local bands covering all genres including classical, blues, country, America, and soft rock. Food and Alcohol aren’t sold on Market Square proper, but there are a ton of great restaurants in Market Square with patios where you can enjoy the concerts. 


5. Paranormal Adventure Tour with J Adam Smith

When: Every Friday & Saturday from May 3- May 31 at 7PM

Where: 36 Market Square

Price: Adults $40 & Youth (9-12) $25

Led by famed ghost hunter and film star, J Adam Smith, J will bring Knoxville’s history alive by sharing the science behind paranormal investigation. The #1 paranormal adventure tour in the south east may sound a little scary, but the tour will give you history and a hands-on experience into Knoxville’s wild past.
