NTF F/W 2018: Thanksgiving Round Up

If there’s one thing that the Great Smoky Mountains do better than the rest of the world, it’s Fall. Even with the crazy weather, those mountains have delivered all their most beautiful colors this year and served us some serious outfit inspiration. We know, we know, some of you already have your Christmas trees up, but we’re enjoying Autumn until the last leaf has hit the ground. The Nothing Too Fancy lineup this season is full of classic, cozy tees and more inspired by the Fall colors of our home sweet home. With Thanksgiving week already upon us (can you believe?!), consider this an opportunity to jump-start your holiday shopping planning - but while you’re at it, don’t forget to take time to go see those beautiful mountains and you might find some inspiration of your own. Read on to learn more about our newest collection and the Nothing Too Fancy team’s go-to mountain adventures!

Max Patch Long Sleeve:

Remember your favorite tee from this summer? That’s right, it’s a long sleeved tee now, too. It also just so happens to be the perfect layer to add to your autumn hiking look. May we suggest a trip to Max Patch with your love (or your bestie, or your dog)? Just past the Tennessee border but well worth the trip, romantic Max Patch is a popular spot for engagements, has 360° mountain range views (remember all those colors we talked about? dreamy!), and is easy enough for newbie hikers to come along. (If you wear your Max Patch shirts to get engaged at Max Patch and send us cute pics, you’ll definitely make the NTF Instagram story, by the way.) 

Corn from a Jar:

For the moonshine connoisseur on your shopping list, how about our new Corn from a Jar tee? We’re not saying that’s the only way to stay warm as it gets chilly… but it just might help. Honestly, what trip to the Smoky Mountains is complete without a pit stop in Gatlinburg for a little moonshine tasting? This shirt features a classic jar of white lightning, but we like apple pie flavor better too, that’s ok. We’re loving this olive tee paired with worn-in jeans, comfy boots and a toasty flannel - a look that works well for mountains or moonshine tasting...or both!

Tennessee:

We love a classic color combo, and it doesn’t get much more classic than this red & blue Tennessee design on an oatmeal tri-blend, complete with (of course) a Tri-Star. If you’re celebrating the holidays away from Tennessee (bless your heart) add this one to your packing list and take a little bit of the best state with you wherever you go - and be sure to pack one for all your family and friends that are missing good ol’ TN, too.  

Vintage Smokies:

Sometimes once we’ve reached this point in the year and everything feels hectic, the little and simple things mean the most. This vintage-inspired but super simple Smokies tee features light green ink on an emerald (dare we say - Christmas-sy?!) green Allmade tri-blend tee, and it’s sure to become a new go-to in your closet for the season. Miranda’s wearing it here just the way we’d take it to the mountains for Fall - hiking sandals and some comfy jeans. Add a cardigan and swap out your sandals for boots and you’ve got the perfect family get-together look as the temperatures drop!

Camp Smoky Mountains:

We simply cannot get enough of this color combination - golden yellow ink on Allmade’s new cardinal red tri-blend tee looks good on everyone and goes with pretty much everything already in your closet. Add a denim jacket and this tee will take you from camper to fashion-forward glamper - did someone say Pigeon Forge cabin getaway?

GSM:

This shirt gives the spotlight to some of our GSM wildlife friends! Wear this one on your next outing to Cades Cove and maybe you’ll see a bear or two - from a distance, of course. We can bear-ly (so sorry) contain our love for this unexpected red, black, and turquoise color combo. If you stay till close and watch the sunset from Cades Cove, we bet you’ll see our inspiration for this one.

Take Me To the Mountains:

Miranda may be one of the newest additions to the NTF team, but she already knows that one of the best accessories for any of our shirts is a raincoat. You never know around here when you’ll need one! Adding our new Take Me to the Mountains tee to your collection might be just the thing to inspire a family trip to see the mountain views before the real cold sets in (rain or shine). For incredible mountain views without hours of hard hiking, you’ve got to go to Clingman’s Dome! It’s one of the most easily accessible mountain peaks in all of the Smokies, and even on a rainy day, the view from the observation tower is breathtaking. You might even find yourself saying “take me to the mountains” a little more often after that.
