Happy Spooky Season from NTF!

You guys know how Nothing Too Fancy feels about Fall - probably the same way you do. It’s the best time to be an East Tennessean, and it never lasts long enough so you gotta make the most of it. Now that we’re rapidly approaching full on Spooky Season, we’re thinking about all the fun there is to be had in Knoxville - so we put together a list of events going on between now and Halloween that the NTF crowd is excited about! Scroll through for a look at our limited edition spooky season shirts and where we’ll be wearing them through the end of October.
This year for our limited edition round of spooky season tees, we had to bring back last year’s popular“Grainger Things” tee (our very own cult classic, if you will). Then we added the simple, Southern & sweet “Fall, Y’all” tee in just the perfect heathered red to go under any plaid flannel. To finalize the lineup, one for the spookiest crowd - an homage to Tennessee’s very own famous haunting, the Bell Witch tee. Are you bewitched? Of course, we haven’t forgotten the dropping temperatures. Any of these tees look great layered under a flannel or a denim jacket, but if you’re looking for something a little more serious, check out our whole line of sweatshirts and hoodies here!
Here’s a list of some ways to celebrate spooky season in Knoxville and show off your new fave NTF shirt, click or tap the titles or links for more info!
Boo at the Zoo:
Do you think the elephants dress up for the occasion? We’d like to think so. This family friendly event is happening October 25th-27th, and you can find more info here!
Navitat at Night in Ijam’s:
We cannot think of a better time than October to check out Navitat at Night - Knoxville’s very own tree-based adventure park AFTER DARK under twinkly lights and the stars? Sounds like a blast. Last check in time is 7pm on Friday and Saturday nights throughout the season!
Pumpkin Patches & Corn Mazes:
Uh, hello what even is a list of Autumn Activities without a list of nearby corn maze/pumpkin patch action??? We wouldn’t do that to you. Here are some options to get your properly prepared for Fall, Y’all.

Howloween at UT gardens:
YOU GUYS. Dogs dressed up in halloween costumes. That is all. Link here.
Great Pumpkin Luminights:
Ok, technically not Knoxville, but we would be entirely remiss to leave the Great Pumpkin Luminights at Dollywood off of this list. We’ve been, it’s a really great time. And if your schedule is super crazy, don’t stress! You’ve got ‘till November 2nd to see this magic.
Movies on Market Square:
To wrap up (no pun intended) the warm times for the year, the final Movie on Market Square showing of the season will take place on Friday, October 18th at dusk. Don’t miss this free presentation of the 1988 cult classic, Beetlejuice!
Gremlin’s 35th Anniversary at The Bijou:
Speaking of cult classics, the ever-spooky and perfect-intro-to-holiday-season-masterpiece that is Gremlins is turning 35 this year (can you believe?). Catch it on the big screen at The Bijou Theatre on Sunday October 20th at 7:30pm.
Isn’t Knoxville the most fun? We hope that your spooky season is just how ya like it, whether that means pumpkin spice or apple cider, scary or nostalgic, hay rides or horror movies.
